About the Foundation

The Terry Floyd Foundation was set up in memory of Terry Floyd, aged 12, who was abducted and murdered while waiting for a lift home from Avoca to Maryborough, Victoria, on 28 June 1975. The Foundation was established in March 2019 by Daryl Floyd, Terry’s younger brother, in response to the overwhelming support for the search for Terry. This inspired Daryl, and a small group of volunteers, to set up the foundation focusing on turning Terry’s legacy into a positive by making children’s lives better.

The belief and vision of The Terry Floyd Foundation is to help support children live brighter futures. The main aims of the foundation are – To help with awareness of personal safety through encouraging children to speak out against bullying – To support disadvantaged children to help them reach their full potential.
